All Veterans and Active Military and their families are invited to celebrate with free food, beverages and camaraderie on October 7th at 11am for the 18th Annual Veterans Appreciation and Outreach Picnic. Lee Anne Jackson will sing the Star Spangled Banner at the opening ceremony. The Kattie Laney Project will perform between 11am and 1pm. Honored guests will be; Dr. Marjory Scott, Director of Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System; General Kendall Penn, Secretary of Arkansas Department of Veteran Affairs; Billy Sanders, Commander for the Arkansas Department of DAV;Tim Griffin, Arkansas Attorney General;John Donnovan, DAV National Vice Commander.
This is the 18th Annual Event to which all Veterans and Active Military and their families are invited in order that the community may show appreciation for their service and sacrifices and to reach out to Veterans and their families that may need help. The Good Samaritan will provide the food and volunteers to cook and serve all veterans.
